The Carey Apiary was established in 2024 after 4 years of hobby beekeeping. Our owner and operator Patrick Carey fell in love with bees and discovered a thriving honey market. He decided to pursue his Master Beekeeping certification through the University of Florida. Sussex County Delaware is lacking a honey farm and supplier of bees. The Carey Apiary hopes to fill the hole in the market by providing raw local honey and in the near future a supply of local bees. Our honey farm is established in Frankford, Delaware and sits on 5 acres of rehabilitated farm land. Please contact Patrick with any questions or needs.
