Honey bees are incredible pollinators. They use a technique known as constancy, which means that once the bees find a plant that offers many rewards, they will consistently return to that plant or plants like it. Through this process, the bees will selectively landscape and beautify any property they work. We offer full size hives to rent during the growing season (May to September), and we will maintain the hive(s) for the property owner. At the end of the season, we will remove our hives and offer the client the honey produced on their property at a reduced rate for them to sell or enjoy. Please call us to discuss this unique opportunity.

Carey Apiary offers tours of the honey farm with hands-on beekeeping experiences. Put on a beekeeping suit and hear the buzz of the bees. Have your picture taken while holding a frame full of bees. Honey samples will be offered at the end of the tour when available. Tours are about one hour. $80.00 per person.

Honey bee colonies reproduce as a whole. This process is called swarming. When a colony becomes too large, half the colony leaves the hive. Often times this swarm will be seen in trees or other areas in nature. If a swarm of bees is observed in, near, or around your property, please call us to catch and relocate it.
